The annual patient survey report 2014/15 for the East Lancashire Community Dermatology Service has now been completed. The surveys, conducted across the year at each of our 5 clinic locations in East Lancashire show continuing high satisfaction ratings in a range of quality indicators. Highlights included:
- 99% of respondents attending for an appointment felt they had been treated with kindness and respect;
- 91% of respondents rated their experience of consultations as excellent.
Survey reports are discussed at clinical governance meetings on a quarterly basis and feed into the annual improvement plan for each service. Feed back from patients is used to improve the patient experience wherever possible. Examples of actions from previous surveys include improving heating in the waiting area at one of our clinics and offering evening and weekend appointments to offer more choice to patients.
